Sally C. Ebarb 93, of Brooklyn, NY
Sally Ebarb, a beloved lifelong resident of Brooklyn, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away peacefully on December 4, 2025 at the age of 93.
Sally lived a life rooted in faith, family, and dedication. A lifelong parishioner of the Basilica of Regina Pacis, she embodied kindness and humility. Her faith guided her daily life and shaped the warm generous spirit she shared with all who knew her. She could be found volunteering many hours a week as a Eucharistic Minister, reconciling weekly donations, or any other needs of her beloved parish.
She was married 65 beautiful years to the love of her life, Joseph “Buck” Ebarb. They exemplified deep affection, loyalty, and grace. Before retiring, Sally served as Vice President at a legal firm in New York City, where she expertly led the closing department. Known for her professionalism, intelligence, and leadership, she earned the respect and admiration of colleagues across her career.
In her youth she played the piano, filling her home with music. She was an expert bowler, spending many years competing in a local league. Sally enjoyed having coffee, playing scrabble and cards with friends and family, revealing her competitive nature. She was an unwavering NY MET fan and spent many hours watching all sports. Sally and Buck loved to travel, exploring different countries and cultures around the world. She valued her friendships throughout her life considering them an extension of her family.
Sally was the loving mother of three children: Dr. Raymond Ebarb (Therese), Marianne Vafiadou (George) and Nina Henry (Scot). She was the proud grandmother of Michael Vafiadou, Steven Vafiadou (Samantha), Shannon Elliott (Sean), William Henry (Alexandria), Curran Henry, Shane Henry (Jordan), Kyle Henry, Katelyn Henry, Theodore Ebarb. and Raymond Ebarb; and the cherished great-grandmother of Emma, William, and Jordan whom she loved and adored. She was also survived by many nieces and nephews whom she cherished, never missing a birthday call, milestone or celebration. Her thoughtful remembrances and enthusiastic support were hallmarks of her generous heart.
The family will receive friends at Aievoli Funeral Home, 1275 65th Street, Brooklyn, NY on Monday, December 8 from 4-8 PM. A celebration of her life will take place at the Basilica of Regina Pacis, 1230 65th Street, Brooklyn, NY. She will be profoundly missed and forever cherished.
