Obituary For Palma Giardina

Palma Giardina, 83, of Brooklyn, NY and Pozzallo, Sicily, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 1, 2025. Born in Pozzallo, Italy, on July 17, 1942, Palma met the love of her life, Giorgio Giardina, at Cinema Giardino in their seaside hometown. A masterful dressmaker and passionate cook, Palma filled her home with the aroma of Sicilian specialties and the precision of hand-stitched garments. In retirement, she returned often to Pozzallo, savoring the warmth of relatives and lifelong friends beneath the Mediterranean sun.

Beloved wife of the late Giorgio Giardina, loving mother to Salvatore (Sharon), Concetta, and Patrizia (David Peter); Dearest Nonna of Giorgio and Brian. Also survived by other dear nieces, nephews and loving family members in both the U.S. and Italy.

Visitation will be held Thursday, November 06 at Aievoli Funeral Home, 1275 65th street, Brooklyn, NY. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Athanasius Church, 6115 Bay Parkway, Brooklyn, NY on November 07 followed by interment in Marlboro Memorial Mausoleum, Morganville, NJ, where Palma will rest beside Giorgio.
