Obituary For Michelle Rose

In Loving Memory of Michelle Rose

Michelle Rose, 73, of Brooklyn, New York, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 17, 2026.

Michelle was a fun-loving, joyful, and positive person whose warmth touched everyone who knew her. She was a faithful servant of the Lord for nearly 50 years and was a devoted member of Gateway City Church for more than 30 years. Throughout those years, Michelle actively participated in countless church events and was always willing to help, serve, and lend a hand wherever she was needed. For a short time, she also had the joy of working at Gateway City Academy as a teacher’s helper in Pre-K, where her caring nature was a blessing to the children and those around her.

In 2016, Michelle was diagnosed with breast cancer and bravely underwent treatment. She remained stable until December 2018, when the cancer developed in her brain. Over the next eight years, Michelle courageously faced multiple radiation treatments and many difficult challenges. Through it all, she remained remarkably positive, strengthened by her unwavering faith in the Lord and by the tremendous love, prayers, and support she received from her family and friends. Her faith sustained her through the most difficult times, and she continued to demonstrate courage, hope, and grace throughout her journey.

Michelle loved arts and crafts and had a wonderful creative spirit. Anyone who knew Michelle also knew of her great love of shopping—from clothes and makeup to shoes. These simple joys brought her happiness, and her enthusiasm was contagious.

Michelle was predeceased by her beloved parents, Nino and Alfonsina. She leaves behind her brother, Anthony (Joan); her sisters, Patricia (Ronnie) and Marie; her nieces, Christina and Alissa; her nephews, Anthony and Michael; her great-nieces, Isabella and Sabrina; and her great-nephews, Michael and Sam. She also leaves behind many extended family members and countless friends whose lives were touched by her kindness, faith, and loving spirit.

Michelle will be remembered for her beautiful smile, generous heart, positive outlook, and steadfast faith. She dedicated her life to serving the Lord and caring for others, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.

Though she will be deeply missed, we take comfort in knowing that Michelle is now at peace, free from pain, and resting in the loving presence of her Lord and Savior.

Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life on Saturday, August 29, from 2pm to 5pm.

Aievoli Funeral Home

1275 65th St. Brooklyn, NY. 11219.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Michelle's honor may be made to Susan G. Komen or Cancer Care.
