Beloved wife of Andrea, loving mother of Caterina, Jerry and Sandra, proud Nonna of Angelo, Andrea, Elizabeth, Ellie, Christina and Alexa, loyal friend, sister, aunt, godmother and so much more. Maria and her husband Andrea, along with baby Caterina, made the long voyage by boat from Italy to America. While her husband worked multiple jobs, Maria made sure the family home was warm, loving and filled with so much joy and laughter. Cooking gourmet meals seven days a week, ensuring everyone’s laundry was done, making sure her children were safe and that she knew where they were at all times, to attending every school event so her kids felt supported. Maria continued to support her family by helping to raise her grandchildren while their parents went to work. Her grandchildren were a great source of pride for her and the reason she went through multiple trials and surgeries to ensure that she would be around to watch them grow and achieve milestones in their own lives. Maria enjoyed knitting and sewing and was a master with a needle and thread. She loved spending time with family and friends, traveling, cooking, gardening and playing card games. She was a devout Catholic that prayed the Rosary every day. She and her husband Andrea were true soulmates and the love between them was evident to everyone that knew them. Maria will be met at heaven’s gates by her husband, Andrea, her parents, Salvatore and Santa, and countless family and friends. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten by those who loved her and whose lives she touched.
